Footnotes
IMPERIAL GOLD dictated the soft pace up front along the back straight, quickened the tempo still in hand opening up easily on the field around the bend and cruised home for the frontrunning score under very mild urging. AIM DON'T MISS was unhurried on the fence trailing the field leaving the chute, edged up inside runners at the half, moved closer chasing the pacesetter through the turn, was no match for the dominant winner by mid-stretch but did run on well to comfortably best the rest for the runners up share at the wire. KNOWING kept a close eye on the frontrunner in the four path between foes down the backside, travelled three wide outside rivals in midturn in the second tier, shifted out four wide battling for the runners up share with the winner long gone and ran on mildly in the final furlong to hold for the show money. LIVININTHEFASTLANE had a tracking position between horses while in the three path, still had rivals on either side in the second flight unable to gain on the leader around the turn, dueled three wide with foes for the place share down the lane but evened out late to settle on the fringes in the end. ONE SMOOTH STONE travelled five deep on the outside in mid-division along the backside, regressed while outside rivals going four wide around the oval and had little to offer in the stretch running. CARRICK ON STAGE was away alertly on the start, settled on the fence in midfield along the backside, was shuffled to last at the seven sixteenths pole, saved ground making little progression around the turn, shifted out four wide for the stretch run but failed to fire down the lane. BOLSHOYE SPASIBO had an outside stalking role in the early going ahead of one rival, was eased by the rider through the turn and walked off.
