QUIET VISTA had the inside route tracking the front duo in the early going, improved slightly to sit on the fence in mid-pack along the backside, was moving comfortably edging up the rail in hand through the far turn, shifted out three wide gathering speed in upper stretch and grinded away in the final furlong to get up for the win just before the wire. MOTION GRANTED was intent on getting the front being encouraged right-handed a couple of times setting a brisk pace on the lead into the first bend, slowed the pace down considerably bunching up the compact field at the half, was under a vigorous ride holding the diminishing lead around the last turn, kept on finding more inside by mid-stretch clinging up top but was just caught in the last few jumps for the win. ETHNIC SOUL was unhurried lagging behind the field in the beginning, narrowed the margin on the frontrunner but could not improve position with the second split slowing down considerably down the backstretch, was hard ridden on the final bend to start to make a rally at the quarter pole, split foes four wide at the top of the stretch finding his best stride late and closed in right at the wire to capture the show money. CATCH A TIGER was content to sit just back and outside the frontrunner who was sent for the lead in the first turn, settled into stride outside measuring the pacesetter along the backstretch, ranged up closing in smartly on the leader through the far turn, loomed three menacingly three wide in upper stretch, could not get by the stubborn rival still digging in up front at the furlong marker and faded in the final seventy yards losing a couple of placings late to settle for a minor role in the end. COMPTON was on the outside in the second flight with the field strung out going into the first turn, stalked near the rear three deep along the backside, made little headway outside of horses on the last turn, angled out widest in the five path turning for home but had had no finish outside rivals in the stretch drive.
