Footnotes
QUIET MADDELENA was hustled from the outer post to get a clear advantage on the fence by the half, rolled along on the turn but was briefly headed outside with a quarter mile to run, had more when repelling the outside challenger by the furlong pole and won going away in deep stretch. IMA BEAST was away alertly up top after the break, rated kindly behind the pacesetter with a half mile to run, moved in to bid outside at the quarter pole, could not quicken with the winner who had something left in reserve for the drive midway down the lane and just saved for the place share in a tight photo when crossing the finish line. VANDOO vied between runners at the start, tracked the frontrunner outside with a half mile remaining, drop backed outside through the turn slightly losing position, shifted out to the four path for the drive, was gaining gradually on the incorrect lead down the lane, switched leads at the sixteenth pole and found another gear when to close in late just missing the nod for the runners up share at the finish line. SILENT TRIBUTE settled near the rear ahead of only the troubled foe down the backstretch, improved inside by the half, had a good turn of foot on the rail at the midpoint of the turn, shifted out at the quarter pole, angled to the three path in the mix at the top of the stretch but stalled by the furlong marker and settled on the fringes in the end. MISS BOBBIT had a stalking role on the outside in the third flight along the backside, made little impression running around the bend while saving all the ground but did show some late interest trying to get up late inside for a minor role at the wire. SADIE MY LADY broke with the field but hopped for a stride or two soon after the break to trail the field along the backside, lagged well behind the group making no progression around the oval and failed to menace four wide in the stretch running.
