QUANDALE had a good spot all alone watching the engaged duo, was nudged at the five sixteenths pole starting to creep closer to the embattled pair at the quarter pole to be in the thick of things three wide between foes at the top of the stretch, drifted inwards slightly driving to the wire dueling up front outside at the seventy yard pole and just inched away coming up to the finish line for the hard fought stretch win. KING PUTT had the lead setting the pace just of the rail in the initial bend, narrowly had the advantage inside at the half, dueled on the fence clinging up front on the last turn, fought on stubbornly inside a couple of challengers down the stretch, drifted out under left-handed encouragement at the seventy yards pole but was just outkicked coming up to the finish line for the win. RUNAWAY MAXI hounded the pace on the outside in the beginning, took even closer order to duel outside up top along the backstretch, continued to be a thorn in the side of the frontrunner around the far turn, still remained in the hunt battling four wide outside two others turning for home, could not keep up to the lead duo late and finished up willingly to a non threatening but clear third in the end. ARRAKASTA IZAN had an inside stalking position close to the back of the pack, improved inside runners down the backside, offered a mild run when scrubbed for more closing the gap on the lead three by the quarter pole, swung out widest in the six path straightening out for home but was one paced in the lane to settle on the fringes. LAST RIDE was squeezed on the break, settled in midfield going into the first of two turns, made little movement down the back straight, regressed going two to four wide around the last turn and could not get into contention in the drive to the wire. ASHWOOD was antsy prior to the start, broke in on the break, had an outside stalking trip near the rear in the early going, travelled in the third flight outside through the backstretch, co-trailed having company inside midway around the last bend and had little to offer down the lane. NIKINZIE broke outwards on the start to trail in the early stages, caught up to a rival inside at the five sixteenths pole but could not factor inside another foe through the stretch drive.
