GUILDSMAN (FR) was allowed to settle into stride at the rear after the break, moved up on the rail at the half getter better inside position going into the turn, waited for the cue to go watching the contesting trio duel up front on the turn, shifted out two wide straightening for home looking for a seam, angled to the three path having a clear lane with a furlong to go and kicked in late to edge away for the win in final few strides. HE SHOOTS HE WINS had a slim lead on the fence early on, continued narrowly up top while hounded outside through the turn running, inched further away from the pesky speed foe at the furlong marker but gave way grudgingly in deep stretch unable to fend of the winners late surge nearing the finish line. GALVASTON vied between horses fighting up front down the back straight, continued to force the issue going head-to-head with the inside leader around the bend, gave way up top by the eighth pole and wilted in the final seventy yards but did manage to just save the show award when inside two fast closing rivals in a tight photo. TRICKY MAGICIAN travelled in the third flight with runners on either side at the half mile marker, was hard ridden holding position through the bend. angled out five wide for the stretch drive and finished up willingly between foes in the late running to almost get the nod at the wire for the third place share. MATICULANT was allowed to settle into stride seeing the field at the half mile marker, began to pick up runners moving up on the rail at the three eighths pole, shifted out three wide at the quarter marker reaching for more ground, gathered speed six wide turning for home, was full of run outside horses down the lane and just missed closing in for the show money outside rivals at the wire. BOLD RELOAD prompted the pace three deep outside up top down the backstretch, dropped back slightly just off the lead duo in the running around the oval, still was in the mix four wide at the top of the lane but flattened out inside rivals in the last sixteenth of a mile. SILENT FORTUNE stalked three deep near the rear outside rivals, could not quicken with foes at the three eights marker settling at the back of the pack making little impression around the bend and could not get involved inside runners just off the fence in the stretch running.
