BANKER'S HOURS was in the mix up top holding the rail position along the backstretch, patiently dropped back slightly to draft behind the leader going into the turn, had horse while waiting to move behind the embattled threesome around the bend, darted up the fence getting a seam at the furlong pole and stormed past in deep stretch for the win. HARPER CITY was hustled between horses having the advantage down the backstretch, continued to lead narrowly on the fence having two outside challengers midway on the turn, dug in sharply battling inside at the top of the lane on the rail, drifted just out in the two path driving in the final furlong but could not fend off the late charge inside by the winner in deep stretch. MAMBA ON THREE had an outside spot tracking the lead threesome in the early going, had a quick turn of foot circling around runners three wide at the three eighths pole to bid for the lead with a quarter mile remaining, poked his head in front for a moment four wide at the top of the lane, could not sustain the rally and evened out in the final sixteenth. DREAM ON BABY settled on the inside of another watching the lead three along the backstretch, was hard ridden going two to three wide on the turn making little headway on the leaders, shifted out five wide turning for home and ran on mildly through the lane to catch a weary foe late for a minor role in the end. DRYDEN prompted the pace three deep on the outside down the back straight, battled outside early into the turn, vied between foes with a quarter mile to run, shifted out three wide for the drive to the wire but had little left late and folded in the final furlong inside runners. SEA SCOUT travelled three deep at the back of the compact bunch at the half mile pole, was roused for run but was unable to keep up to rivals throughout the turn and could not get into contention in the three path in the stretch running.
