WHISKEY N ICE broke outwards on the start, had a slim advantage inside in the beginning, contently let the outside rival go on at the five sixteenths pole surrendering the lead, regained command having a slim lead on the fence around the turn, continued to be stubborn while inside horses turning for home still holding up front and found more in reserve in the last furlong to repel the outside challenger with a sixteenth left to run for the victory. RHAENYRA broke in at the start, had an ideal spot all alone watching the contesting duo around the turn, moved in four wide to loom boldly outside runners at the head of the lane, looked to getting to the winner at the eighth pole but was repelled in the last sixteenth with the leader finding just a bit more and saved the place share at the finish line. PERIWINKLE was brushed by the outside foe on the start, settled in mid-pack watching the front three around the bend, shifted out five wide for the drive to the wire and kept on coming steadily down the lane, stayed on the wrong lead to the wire unable to get to the winner but did charge late to almost get the runners up share at the wire. BEDAZZLE ME was brushed inside on the start, stalked three deep close to the back of the pack in the early stages, could see the field while just off the fence going around the bend and could only manage to pass a weary rival at the furlong marker. GENIUS OF LOVE stalked near the rear ahead of a couple of runners along the backside, made no movement travelling just off the fence running around the oval, swung out widest in the seven path for the stretch drive but could not get involved in the late stages. REACH FOR THE TOP was brushed on the outside at the break, seized command briefly at the five eighths pole outside when hustled down the back straight, dueled outside with the eventual winner on the rail through the turn, was in the thick of things between foes in the three path turning for home, had little to offer in mid-stretch and wilted between horses in the last sixteenth of a mile. AMI'S GIRL was allowed to settle at the rear down the backstretch, passed one rival inside at the half, saved ground improving position through the turn, had the rail run in upper stretch, could not continue the rally inside rivals in upper stretch and yielded by the furlong marker.
