NIAGARA SKYLINE rated outside just off the pace, was mostly three to four wide, advanced in upper stretch drawing up alongside the leader, after a long drive edged past and away the final sixteenth. WESTERN WHIRL came out a bit at the start but was away sharply, soon shot clear, set the pace from just off the rail, was challenged in upper stretch, dueled through the lane, was outfinished yielding grudgingly late. SOCIETY'S THUNDER got away well, rated in behind the leaders off the rail about mid-pack, waited briefly late on the turn, came out a bit turning into upper stretch then tipped out further to be five wide and in the clear passing the furlong marker, was gaining but too late. UPHILL DANCE broke in a bit, was forwardly-positioned and under a strong hold racing keenly in behind the pacesetter early, kept on evenly in the lane near the inside but needed more to threaten. IRONSTONE exchanged a light bump at the start, settled off the pace, was three to five wide through the turn and into upper stretch, was carried or forced out a bit later in the stretch, ran on but was no match for the top quartet. BERTANI had a bump and was in tight at the start, settled at the rear, came out eight wide in the stretch and improved position. TIME FOR TRUTH chased the pace, was mostly three wide, ridden along by the five-sixteenths, came up empty. FOUND MY BALL settled off the pace inside, shifted out at the nine-sixteenths, went four to five wide on the turn thereafter, came out a bit for the drive, failed to rally. POWER SEEKER was forced out a bit at the start, chased inside, failed to menace.
