Footnotes
SCAT GIRL stalked near the rear ahead of only the slow starters down the backstretch, rallied smartly finding a rail seam with five sixteenths from home, carried the momentum shifting out four wide entering the stretch, pounced to the lead leaving the furlong marker and won going away at the finish line. TANDHONEYWITHANE settled between horses in the third tier in the early stages, started to mount a rally three wide moving outside with the eventual winner in midturn, angled out five wide in upper stretch, switched leads at the furlong pole finding another gear and with a late charge surged in deep stretch to best the rest for the runners up share. I GOT MURPHED assumed control down the backside, slowed the tempo down slightly unopposed around the bend, still had a narrow advantage on the fence at the top of the lane, had no answer for the winner driving past at the eighth pole but did fight on to just save the show money inside in a tight photo. MIRAMICHI was content to track the leader outside down the back straight, crept closer on the turn to apply pressure to the leader outside with a quarter mile from the wire, dueled up top in the two path with challengers on both sides in upper stretch, was no match for the winner who swept past at the furlong pole and faded in the final seventy yards to settle for a minor share in the end. JUST MAGNIFICENT was away slowly to co-trail on the inside in the early going, was on hold stuck behind a wall of runners while at the rear with three eighths from home, shifted out a quarter mile from the wire and finished with good late energy closing the gap down the stretch while in the three path. TOTALLY IN CHARGE settled in mid-division four deep outside rivals, moved in closer three wide with three furlongs to go chasing the lead duo on the turn, shifted out four wide with a chance for a piece of the prize in upper stretch but faded in the final sixteenth of a mile. HYMN TO HER had a sluggish start to co-trail on the outside, made a brief run taking the overland route four wide entering the turn to shift out seven wide leaving the bend at the top of the stretch and weakened at the top of lane unable to factor in the late stages. BOUND TO BE TRUE travelled between horses in mid-pack while in the three path, was shuffled back losing some positioning at the half mile marker, offered a mild run at the quarter pole but had little presence five wide at the top of the stretch through to the finish line. SARATOGA HOLIDAY had the rail while tracking in the third flight of runners, could not keep up to others who were making a rally at the three-furlong pole and offered little running in the stretch drive inside horses. AMBITIOUS LASS was hustled after the break pressing the issue along the backside, was under a ride losing ground to the frontrunner at the three eighths pole, backed away abruptly between foes midturn and cantered through the lane crossing the finish line.
