Footnotes
ARTEMUS CITYLIMITS travelled on the outside of runners three deep in midfield down the backside, improved to sit outside another in the second flight around the oval, shifted out making a bid four wide straightening out for home, fought on between foes getting his head in front at the sixteenth pole and held on in a flurry of a finish at the wire for the victory. GIANT TEDDY travelled on the rail in the middle of the pack down the backside, was checked in tight on the fence at the three-furlong pole, dropped back positions around the bend, re-rally smartly five wide at the eighth pole coming with a run and surged late for the runners up share all the while just missing for the win at the finish as well. READY TO COLLECT had a good spot in the early stages all alone watching the contesting duo throw in down on the backside and through the turn, moved in at the quarter pole, closed in three wide in upper stretch to duel between rivals for the front at the sixteenth pole but had to settle for the show money in a thrilling four horse finish at the wire for the win. OUTLAW KID stumbled on the break to begin, recovered quickly to be in the fray up top shortly after the start, was steadied in tight dropping back at the half mile pole, began to get back into gear when steadied for the second time behind a troubled rival at the three eighths pole to be at the back of the pack on the turn with a quarter mile to run and with a game effort of the fence down the lane came with a solid ate charge inside runners to be in the conversation for the win picture but having to settle on the fringes in the end in a tight four way photo at the wire. FORESTER'S FORTUNE was void of early foot to trail the field along the backside, edged up three wide outside rivals on the turn, swung out widest in the seven path at the top of the lane, found his best stride late and was closing fast but could not get into contention at the finish line. SILENT RESERVE was hustled from the inside post to get the lead by the half mile pole inside runners, battled on the rail narrowly having the advantage through the turn, disposed of the pesky early speed foe by upper stretch, was clinging onto the front with the lead quickly diminishing at the furlong pole and was swallowed up by rivals in the two path between horses at the sixteenth pole. BOTTA SWING stalked near the rear in the early going, kept pace in mid-division while going three wide outside foes around the bend, angled out four wide turning for home but had no finish to offer in the stretch run. BABBO broke sharp having the lead after the break, battled outside at the half, continue to argue up top setting a brisk pace on the turn, shifted out three wide, had nothing left from his early efforts in the race and folded by the furlong pole. STEWARDS GENERAL INQUIRY DOWN THE BACKSIDE AND RIDERS CLAIM OF FOUL #4 OUTLAW KID AGAINST RIVALS DOWN THE BACKSTRETCH COMING UP TO THE HALF MILE MARKER RESULTED IN NO CHANGE
