Footnotes
I HAVE AN IDEA tracked the pacesetter, continued in a stalking position on the backside, advanced on the far turn, bid two wide at the quarter pole, took charge in the stretch, drew clear and held well under urging. PICKFORD SWEET raced off the pace inside, chased two wide on the far turn, angled out in upper stretch, rallied late outside and finished well for second. PURRFECT GIRL raced two wide off the pace, chased three wide on the far turn, rallied three wide into the stretch, bid and was outfinished for the place spot. KEY STROKE raced three wide early, then settled off the pace, saved ground on the far turn, angled out in the stretch and lacked a rally. MIMI'S HOLIDAY raced off the pace inside, chased inside on the far turn, angled out and had no rally. SARATOGA EMPRESS (GB) raced three wide early, settled two wide off the pace, chased on the far turn, came three wide into the lane and failed to threaten. GREAT KATE set the pace racing with a clear lead, dueled past the quarter pole and faded in the stretch.
