SOUPERGIRL hopped up on the break, quickly recovered inside horses to be loose on the lead by the five eighths pole, moved comfortably well within herself uncontested through the turn, spurted further ahead by mid-stretch and was kept to the task in deep stretch having a shrinking lead to just hold safe from the fast closing runner up at the finish line. ENCHANTED FOREST had a stalking trip ahead of only one rival along the back straight, took the short way on the turn keeping pace with rivals, swung out widest having all the momentum in the six path at the head of the lane, was full of run closing in resolutely in the final furlong but just missed by a jump or two for the win outside at the wire. STERLING HEIGHTS was situated in mid-division with rivals on either side down the backside, held her own travelling just off the fence around the oval and ran on willingly five wide between horses in the stretch drive to get up late for the show money. I'M TENACIOUS had the rail position in midfield early on, sat on the fence behind the pacesetter waiting for the cue to go through the turn, posed the main threat while shifting out to the two path for the drive to the wire, evened out while inside horses a sixteenth from home and settled on the fringes in the end. CLARAYOUTHEBEST travelled three deep in the middle of the pack, regressed while going three wide outside foes throughout the turn, could not get into contention in the late running but did show late interest splitting horses late for a better placing at the finish line. GATHER was void of early foot seeing the field along the backside, closed the gap smartly at the quarter pole saving all the ground on the bend, hugged the rail making a mild run at the top of the lane but levelled out by the furlong pole unable to get involved in the late stages. VANDOO was content to track on the outside down the back straight, inched closer applying mild pressure outside midway around the bend, could no quicken with the winner but remained in the mix for a piece of the prize four wide in upper stretch, had little left to offer by the eighth pole and folded between horses with a sixteenth left to run.
