CATEGORY FIVE had the fence in a stalking position down the backside, commenced a rally edging up initially inside rivals midway on the bend, was in full flight three wide with runners on either side dueling up front at the top of the lane, drove past between horses leaving the furlong pole and was kept to the task late to hold safe by a diminishing margin at the finish line. FOG D'ORO settled between rivals close to the back of the pack, dropped back to co-trail on the inside heading into the turn, began to pick up the bit when scrubbed for more at the five sixteenths pole, shifted out five wide full of run down the stretch, was unable to get to the winner in time the final sixteenth of a mile but closed in sharply to get up at the wire for the runners up share. DRI SADDLE tracked the engaged duo while in the two path inside another along the backside, chased the contesting couple but to no vail through the turn, still remained in the mix closing the gap four wide in upper stretch with the dueling leaders coming back to the field and finished up willingly to be a clear third at the finish line. DIGITAL SECURITY stalked near the rear going three deep, was hard ridden midturn making no progression, swung out widest in the six path turning for home, found his best stride late and came with a solid charge in the final furlong to get a minor award right at the wire. QUADZILLA pressed the issue inside at the start, took even closer order to battle on the fence at the half mile marker, slugged it out inside another through the bend, scraped paint still fighting inside horses at the top of the lane, could not offer a finishing kick down the stretch and yielded inside at the eighth pole. CELESTIAL HEART was away slowly on the break, had the head in front under a hustling ride leaving the chute, dueled outside at the half and continued that run through the turn, still was in the fray up front in the two path between rivals by upper stretch, had little left to give down the lane and wilted on the wrong lead by the furlong marker. HOT POTATO was void of early foot trailing in the beginning, caught up to a rival outside at the half, remained back at the rear midway on the oval and could only manage to pass one straggler in the stretch running. RAINBOWS HERO had the outside travelling three deep tracking the engaged pair, was urged for more but was going in the wrong direction on the turn three wide at the quarter pole, had nothing to offer in the stretch drive and folded just off the fence between horses in upper stretch.
