Footnotes
SAUCY NAME was reined back nestled on the fence all alone watching the contesting trio at the half, began to inch up when a scrubbed for more on the rail at the quarter pole, shifted off the dueling threesome making a bid at the furlong marker and was in full flight drifting out to the five path with a sixteenth still to run and with a strong late surge edged away for the win. PRIMA prompted the issue three deep in the beginning, continued three wide shadowing the front duo around the bend, moved in outside to make it a three pronged battle at the top of the stretch, poked a head in front for a fleeting moment at the sixteenth pole but was nabbed outside nearing the finish line for the win while still determinedly saving the place share in a tight photo. GRETNA GREEN pressed the pace with runners on either side down the backstretch, chased two wide never letting the pacesetter get away throughout the turn, battled stubbornly in the two path between runners down the entire stretch but needed just a bit more late, conceding to the winner in deep stretch then getting nosed out for the place share at the wire. JUST FOLLOW ME broke inwards on the start, had the outside position paired up with another close to the back in the early stages, ranged up three wide around the oval taking closer order by the quarter pole, swung out widest to the six path in upper stretch and was gaining gradually outside taking only a minor share at the wire while just missing out with the late charge for the place and show awards. SUIGU BELLE was hustled leaving the gate having a slim lead inside two rivals along the back straightaway, edged clear by midturn, skimmed the fence at the top of the stretch still up top narrowly, was collared outside with a furlong remaining and had little left late and faded inside if runners losing a few placings in the final seventy yards. ROCKET RILEY was brushed by the outside foe having to be taken a hold of trailing the group along the backside, was a long last seeing the field around the bend, shifted out from the three path to be in the six path in the final furlong through the stretch drive and had good late energy outside passing a rival and closing in sharply late while not beaten very much by the winner when crossing the finish line. SOUPER SUNDAY got to the fence from the outer post being near the rear having only the troubled starter beaten in the backstretch running, travelled two wide narrowing the margin on the turn by the quarter pole, angled out between horses in the five path trying to make a rally but lost his lane and momentum being checked slightly leaving the sixteenth pole and could not recover in time to factor.
