Footnotes
LAZIO settled mid-division, advanced outside four wide on the turn, kept on in the lane and surged past late. ARMSTRONG quickly took command, set the pace near the inside, was asked in upper stretch, proved no match for the winner but clearly second best. LAST AMERICAN EXIT raced off the pace and off the inside, was ridden outside the five-sixteenths, came into upper stretch five wide, ran on to secure show honors while best of the rest. GILT EDGE chased from mid-pack along the inside, steadied slightly when entering the turn after not cornering well, moved out on that bend coming to the top of the stretch four wide, came out seven wide soon after, ran on to improve. TOTAL SENSATION bumped with a rival at the start then was urged forward, chased the runner-up racing two to three wide into the turn, shifted in midway on that bend having dropped back in behind the leader, came back out a few paths for the stretch run, lacked the needed late kick. RED WEAVER bumped with a rival at the start, lacked early speed racing outside at the rear into the turn, went four to five wide on that bend, was forced out wider still in mid-stretch and was never near enough to threaten. ROI SOLEIL saved ground inside racing at the back, failed to menace. CAUGHT SPEEDING chased from outside three to four wide into the turn, dropped back and faded.
