Footnotes
MOUNT HOREB had a good spot inside keeping a close eye on the engaged trio down the backside, rated kindly drafting just behind the embattled duo on the turn, shifted out for clear run three wide at the quarter pole, pounced in the four path at the top of the lane, seized control at the eighth pole and drew off in deep stretch for the win. HIGHLAND BLUE was under a snug hold vying between runners for the lead down the backside, pulled the rider to the front by the half, dueled outside up top around the bend, regained command outside with two furlongs left to run, was collared outside at the eighth pole dug in but was no match late for the winner late and still finished up strong enough to save the runners up share at the finish line. MAP'S A BREEZE was off a step slow to begin, tracked outside a runner watching the contesting threesome along the backside, was roused three eighths out with little response, mounted a rally five wide around runners at the quarter pole when encouraged right handed to be in the mix up front turning for home, could not continue the run and evened out in the final furlong to be a clear third at the wire. DRAW BOOT was allowed to settle into stride seeing the field down the back straight, closed the gap on the leaders saving ground on the rail through the turn, shifted out three wide for the stretch run and finished up mildly to garner a minor placing in the end. AWMIK SIDE OF TOWN pressed the pace on the rail down the backstretch, poked his head in front for a moment entering the turn, was roused for more when relinquishing the lead inside at the quarter pole, had little left for the drive and retreated on the fence at the furlong marker. PIN BOY was eager prompting the pace three deep outside two others along the backside, could not stay with the lead group giving way up top at the half, was hard ridden midway on the turn trying to maintain position, offered little response and backed away four wide between rivals at the quarter pole.
