Footnotes
PATROLMAN stalked close to the back two wide between runners, patiently galloped along between foes at the rear down the backside, commenced a rally moving strongly four wide midway around the final turn, was full of run in the seven path at the top of the lane and drew off late with the impressive stretch run. REBELIOUS trailed the field three wide in the beginning, advanced three to four deep outside foes down the back straight, made an early move circling horses four wide at the three furlong marker to be in the hunt in the six path straightening out to the wire, could not dig in late to fend off the rally by the winner outside and bested the rest at the finish line. POSTURING stalked near the rear on the fence, continued to be in the rear trio inside down the backstretch was coaxed passing runners on either side through the last turn, shifted out six wide for the drive and with late final late surge got up for the show money. MONDAY MORNING stalked in the third flight on the rail in the early stages, was roused but made little progression midway around the final bend and shifted out three wide finishing up willingly to the wire to settle on the fringes. HEY CUE had a good spot watching the engaged trio in the beginning, was closing in when forced to move keeping forward position three wide at the three furlong pole, narrowly in the two path between runners was clinging onto the lead turning for home but faded in the final seventy yards. GOOD SIN tracked the pacesetter just outside between horses into the first turn, was checked in tight between foes at the three quarters pole, edged closer to the front again pressing at the half, had a brief advantage poking his head in front with three eighths from home, fought on stubbornly staying in the mix on the fence in upper stretch but could not continue on late and yielded at the sixteenth pole. WORRY LESS was under a tight hold assuming the front setting a soft first quarter, was checked on the rail giving up the lead when entering the backstretch, watched the front duo on the rail at the half, could not keep up with others dropping back through the far turn and could not factor inside down the stretch. DARE TO BE KING settled on the outside in midfield, made little gain ahead of a few rivals along the backside, travelled three wide on the last turn but was going the wrong way and could only manage to pass a stopping foe in upper stretch. BIG LEW was eager pulling the rider three wide on the outside to prompt the pace around the first turn, continued on outside taking control while quickening the tempo considerably into the backstretch, was collared by rivals with three furlongs to go, had nothing left to give being engulfed by runners midway on the final bend, backing away abruptly on the fence and galloped down the stretch crossing the finish line.
