NIKITA'S GEM had the rail rating nicely inside runners in the second flight, started to make a rally reeling in the frontrunner at the five sixteenths pole, bid three wide on the outside in upper stretch, could not go by by the furlong pole with the leader edging slightly away, determinedly rebid again outside at the sixteenth pole and inched away in deep stretch for the win. JUICY HANNA had the fence stalking near the rear in the beginning, had little movement inside foes down the backside, took the short way around the far turn narrowing the margin picking up the bit at the quarter pole and had a good late charge skimming the fence through the stretch drive to get up just before the wire for the second place share while making in a game run for the win as well. ADORABLE ANGEL assumed command setting a slow pace in the beginning, continued up top with an even tempo along the backside, moved well still quite in control through the far turn, repelled the initial challenge from the winner outside in upper stretch, was headed again by the sixteenth pole but was unable to find more this time surrendering the lead and faded in deep stretch to settle for the third place award at the wire. TOTALLY IN CHARGE kept a close eye on the frontrunner sitting between rivals in the early stages, could not keep up with others when the pace quickened at the three eighths pole, re-rallied on the fence at the quarter marker to be in the mix three wide in upper stretch and finished up mildly to settle on the fringes in the end. DESIGN DIVA co-trailed between rivals early on, settled at the back of the pack with a half mile still to run, could not advance while outside another around the last turn and passed tired foes when widest in the six path in upper stretch. RELOAD EH shared the rear outside of a couple of rivals while going three wide in the first of two turns, closed the gap improving outside horses down the backside to sit in midfield at the three furlong marker, offered a mild run three wide on the outside by the quarter pole but yielded four wide between foes in upper stretch. SPEAK UP tracked three wide around the first turn, chased the soft pace outside down the back straight, backed away three wide midway on the final turn and emptied out in the three path when turning for home.
