Footnotes
GALLEY HEAD got away well, settled off the leader stalking outside a rival, moved four wide on the turn taking the lead past the quarter pole, drew clear in the stretch, just held. MAKE NO MISTAKE settled toward the rear off the rail, angled seven wide under urging turning for home, was all out in the stretch and gaining steadily but too late and just missed. LOIS LEN had position inside settled just off and in behind the leader, came out three wide nearing the eighth pole desperate for room when in behind the tiring pacesetter, bumped a rival in the process, got through between, was no match for the top pair but best of the rest. MOUNTAIN SOUND settled at the back racing unhurriedly, saved some ground near the rail on the turn, came out four wide turning for home, moved out further to be seven to eight deep and now with room by mid- to late-stretch, got the nod for super. MRS. DEL settled mid-pack inside foes but off the fence, took closer order on the turn, angled six wide coming to upper stretch and within range, evened out in the drive. GIZMO'S B F F chased from mid-pack between runners three to four wide, floated eight to nine wide into upper stretch, ran on evenly and made no bid. LADY EVA was urged forward from the start, chased the pacesetter in the clear, was within range between runners three wide past the quarter pole making a mild brief bid, lacked the needed late kick and was wrapped up late. DELPHIA broke outwardly but on top and under just mild coaxing quickly went clear, set the pace on or just off the rail, drifted a tad in the stretch while weakening, came up empty. CLEOMENES was outside at the rear, caught wide into the turn and wider still fanning seven deep out of that bend, failed to rally. ALBERTA BE MINE chased from outside mid-pack four wide, dropped back on the turn, was wrapped up with late.
