Footnotes
CHOOSE TO BE HAPPY stalked on the rail in the third tier, loped along under a good rhythm down the backstretch, drafted behind the chasing duo waiting for the cue just off the fence in the last turn, shifted out three wide at the top of the lane, quickly darted back in finding a seam on the rail in upper stretch, exploded past the leader while hugging the fence at the furlong marker and finished up strongly to open up on the field at the finish line. SARAH'S DANCER co-trailed on the inside, made little movement when stuck behind runners through the far turn, was let loose three wide in upper stretch, shifted to the rail following the path set by the winner at the furlong pole and closed in smartly to get up to be a distant second. ROOKIE COURT watched the loose leader into the first of two turns, contently tracked the pacesetter down the backside, took closer order inside a rival on the far turn and finished up mildly in the three path to the wire to just hold on and save for the show placing. P. S. RISING STAR had a stalking role in the second to last pairing, began to pick up the bit in the two path with a quarter mile to run, angled out seven wide having a clear lane for the stretch drive and was full of run late to almost close in and get the show money in the end. I HAVE AN IDEA cleared from the outer post to set an honest pace on the fence into the first turn, slowed the tempo down a touch while unopposed down the back straight, continued up top but by a diminishing margin through the last turn, gave way to the winner on the fence by the eighth pole and was engulfed by rivals in deep stretch losing a few positions nearing the wire. VILLI OLENTO stalked in the third flight on the outside, made little progression along the backside, took closer order on the final bend to be in the mix four wide turning for home but lacked a finishing kick in the final furlong. GOOD NEWS MONEY co-trailed on the outside in the early going, was scrubbed on for more at the three furlong marker, offered no response throughout the final turn and could not reach contention in the six path driving to the finish line. GUNNAWIN sat alone in midfield, offered a brief run passing the eventual winner outside three furlongs from the prize, shifted out in the six path turning for home but gave way by the furlong marker. DADDY'S DAISY stalked inside while ahead of a couple runners in the early parts of the pace, had no rally on the fence through the far turn, jumped in the air seemingly seeing something on the rail in upper stretch, lost any momentum that she had and was not a factor in the late running.
