READY TO BATTLE bumped with a rival at the start, moved forward inside then shifted out past the three-quarters, stalked from outside, advanced shifting out from three to five wide commencing a bid, came into upper stretch six wide engaging in a duel, edged away late. NEENAH was caught three to four wide on the first turn gaining forward position to stalk, moved nearer to force the pace putting a head in front at the four- and one-half, dueled with the inside rival, edged to the lead near the quarter pole but was soon joined by an outside rival, dueled with that one but was no match. MIKELLE got away well, ceded the lead to track inside in hand and in behind the leaders, moved out while being asked for more coming past the quarter pole, ran on evenly and lacked the needed late kick. ONTARIO bumped with a foe at the start, settled mid-pack, raced outside foes up the backstretch, fanned eight wide turning for home, gained steadily outside. PERIWINKLE shifted in early, moved up to mid-pack inside, asked for run about the five-sixteenths, shifted seven wide into upper stretch, ran on mildly late. PRINCESS JADE soon led moving in to set the pace nearer the inside, was prompted midway up the backstretch, dueled with the outside rival, was clearly overtaken leaving the far turn, came up empty in the stretch. RATINGS UPGRADE (IRE) angled in at the start, was reserved at the rear, swung six wide into upper stretch and passed tired foes. STARSHIP SERENITY was checked early racing three to four wide between foes into the first turn, was encouraged between foes on the far turn but failed to rally. FLIP FLOPS steadied early racing outside foes four to five wide, failed to menace. SNATCHED shifted in, saved some ground both turns, was ridden along inside three furlongs out but was not a factor.
