WICO (IRE) was on the outside of a rival in the second tier tracking the lead twosome down the backside, closed the gap outside another on the turn by the quarter pole, was coming to the leader in the four path in upper stretch, dueled with a furlong from home for the top spot and edged clear on the outside in deep stretch for the win. GROOT had rail position inside another down the backside in mid-division, crept closer at the quarter pole taking the short way around the bend, loomed in the two path between foes at the top of the stretch, vied with runners on both sides battling up front at the furlong pole, ran on determinedly to the wire but was outkicked by the winner outsiside in the final seventy yards. RY PIE travelled close the the back with rivals on each side down the back straight, was relegated to the rear at the half, began to pick up the bit three wide around horses at the five sixteenths marker, swung out widest in the six path straightening out for the drive and finished up with good late energy to capture the show money in deep stretch. CRUCIAL TAUNT broke a touch slow at the start to see the field early on, had the fence stalking ahead of only one rival by the half mile marker, was looking for running room behind runners on the rail in midturn, found a seam four wide, following the eventual winner in upper stretch and ran on mildly in the last furlong to garner a minor placing in the end. TIGER TOWN had a slim lead on the outside leaving the chute, got to the rail having a clear advantage by the half, opened up at the three furlong marker, had the fence narrowly holding on up front at the top of the lane, was collared outside by the eighth pole, offered little resistance inside and wilted in the final sixteenth of a mile. SECRET THREAT had a stalking trip, three deep having a couple of rivals beaten along the backside, shared the rear between foes at the midway point around the oval, offered a mild run five wide closing the gap in with a chance for a small share at the top of the lane but evened out in the final furlong. IMPERIAL GOLD was content on the inside forcing the pace early down the backstretch, shifted out at the half behind the pacesetter, chased through the turn starting to reel in the leader at the five sixteenths pole, could not hold forward position three wide between horses turning for home and folded drifting inwards to the rail at the furlong marker.
