Footnotes
SECRET BUTTERFLY was coaxed early to dictate terms down the backstretch, opened up mildly at the three furlong pole, relinquished the lead to the outside foe at the top of the lane and stubbornly fought back in the last sixteenth of a mile to prevail on the rail in a tight photo at the wire. SWEET CITY DOLL pressed the issue inside down the backstretch, was reined in conceding the fence at the seven sixteenths pole, re-engaged on the outside by the quarter pole, seized command straightening out for home but was denied at the wire by the resurging winner. OLIVIA'S MELODY was forced out by the inside runner on the start, travelled three deep in mid-division along the backside, began to reach for more ground three wide at the three eighths pole, was brushed inside when pushed out to the six path turning for home and determinedly fought on to win the battle for the show award outside while not switching leads down the stretch. BRAZILIAN LEGACY was bumped between horses at the start, travelled in fourth watching the lead trio down the backside, kept pace in the third flight when scrubbed for more around the bend, dueled for the show money inside rivals down the stretch but lost the fight late and settled on being fringe player in the end. SAKE AND SUSHI was ahead of one foe down the backstretch, started to mount a rally splitting foes with five sixteenths to go, shifted to the three path in tight for a moment in upper stretch and could only finish up one paced in deep stretch. FLATTERING LOOK broke out on the start, travelled between foes in midfield along the backside, made no headway under a drive three wide with three eighths from the line, shifted out widest in the seven path in upper stretch but had no finish and could not get involved. RACE DAY CHANCE was bumped inside at the break trailing down the back straight, continued to see the field around the bend, angled out six wide for the drive and passed a couple of weary ones in the stretch running. IMPECCABLE TIMING settled near the rear on the inside, improved position on the rail by the half, regressed on the fence in midturn and could not get involved three wide down the lane. SCOTTY'S LOVE CHIL chased the pacesetter outside in the early going, could not match strides with the front two runners by the quarter pole, drifted out five wide turning for home and faltered in the three path in upper stretch.
