Footnotes
COOL KISS was allowed to settle loping along near the back of the pack in the early stages finding his stride, began to quicken when urged for more at the quarter pole, angled out widest in the six path full of run straightening out for the stretch drive and drew away convincinglywhen set down in final eighth of a mile for the win.TWOWAYCROSSING brushed the outside of the gate at the start settling close to the back ahead of only one runner in the beginning, advanced on the outside at the half, swooped four wide around horses making a strong move through the far turn to bid five wide for the lead in upper stretch, was no match for the overpowering winner in the late stages and settled for second best on this day. JUST FOR LUCK was away alertly to lead after the break, settled in on the fence near the rear entering the initial bend, pulled the rider between rivals to be in mid-division by the half, lacked running room behind a wall of runners from the quarter pole until finding a lane on the fence by the furlong marker and burst up the rail late to almost close in and get the runners up share at the wire. PENNER ASH (IRE) broke in a tangle at the start, recovered to have a slim advantage between foes heading into the first turn, rolled along under a good hold down the backside dictating terms, was clinging onto the lead inside foes turning for home, dug in dueling between runners down the stretch until the sixteenth pole and faded in deep stretch for a minor share in the end. BOWMAN'S RUN broke in soon after the start, tracked the pacesetter outside into the first turn, chased the leader down the backstretch, took closer order to be in the fray up front in the two path between foes coming out of the last turn, could not go on with others late and yielded by the sixteenth pole. MYRA'S BOY settled in midfield on the outside, continued in mid-pack three deep down the backside, made a brief rally three wide at the three furlong pole until the top of the lane still in the three path, could not sustain the run by upper stretch and weakened in the stretch drive. PAT'SSEWINGMACHINE was checked between horses at the start to trail in the early going, was hard ridden but made no movement around the last turn and had little offer in the stretch drive. NORTH WARDEN forced the issue on the fence in the beginning, dropped back quickly on the rail inside rivals at the half, lost touch with the field around the far turn, cantered down the stretch and was eased when crossing the finish line.
