COURAGEOUS COPPER was forwardly-positioned inside, switched out on the second turn moving between foes leaving that bend, took the lead at the three-sixteenths, drew clear, was much the best. SHAKOO MAKOO was in just a bit tight quarters in the early going, raced close up in behind off the rail into the turn, was no match for the winner, just saved place in a photo finish. NAPA SPIRIT (IRE) settled outside at the rear racing three to four wide, swung out seven wide for the drive, had moderate late effort but just missed second in a head-bobber. ROCK TO FAME got away well, set the pace shifting in, was near the rail turning for home and overtaken at the top of the stretch, lacked the needed late kick and just lost minor placings. TRUEBELIEVE got away well but lacked early speed steadily and rapidly dropping back between runners about two wide to bring up the rear, kept on in the stretch to improve. PUDDINGONTHERITZ chased mid-pack mostly three to four wide, failed to rally. NAMEOFTHEGAME brushed with a foe after the start, chased outside racing three to four deep, came out further for the stretch run, weakened. SPITE STORE exchanged light contact after the start, chased from outside off the pace, moved out from four to six wide on the turn after being encouraged along from the three-eighths, swung out wider for the drive, failed to rally. LEGAL ATTACK (GB) saved ground on the turn inside at the rear, failed to menace.
