Footnotes
KEKOA sat alone in the mid-division in this compact bunch going into the first turn, continued to have an ideal set up watching the contesting pair along the backside, waited patiently measuring the engaged duo around the far turn, skimmed the fence turning for home, edged up for the lead at the furlong pole and when set down, responded sharply to win going away in deep stretch. REGAL MOMENT prompted the pace outside in the beginning, still applied pressure to the pacesetter outside down the backstretch, was roused for more chasing the leader around the far turn but could not get his head in front, angled three wide in the hunt outside at the top of the lane, kept on grinding down the stretch, could not quicken with the winner at the eighth pole but did fight on to the end to just get up nearing the finish line for the place share. COMMANDER WORSLEY assumed command on the inside into the first or two turns, slowed the pace down while hounded outside along the backside, continued up front narrowly inside through the last bend, was headed on both sides turning for home, dug in stubbornly between foes in upper stretch, was no match for the powerful winner in the last furlong and just missed at the wire holding for the runners up share. HEARD A GHOST co-trailed on the inside eager when hard held around the first turn, settled into stride trailing at the half, made little headway when urged around the final turn, shifted to the two path for the stretch drive and finished with some interest to pass a rival inside coming up to the furlong pole. SKYLIGHT CAPER co-trailed on the outside, inched up down the back straight to be in the second flight outside at the half beside the eventual winner, came under a ride two wide at the quarter pole but could not keep up to others and tired at the furlong marker.
