PATRIOTIC WAR broke out on the start, had good early foot clearing from the outside post to get the lead on the rail by the half, moved well in hand loose on the lead through the turn, repelled the mild challenge while in the three path in upper stretch when asked for more and was comfortably in control for the win when crossing the finish line. GOLDEN SUNSET watched the lead duo three wide down the backstretch, took closer order moving in at the three eighths pole, posed the only threat to the winner four wide at the top of the stretch, kept on fighting on but chased the winner in vain to the wire. BEACH CRICKET travelled between horses in midfield early on, was relegated to last at the three furlong pole, had a quick turn of foot when roused with five sixteenths from home, was held up for a moment behind a wall of runners in the three path turning for home, angled four out wide in upper stretch and finished up strongly late to almost close in to capture the runners up share. EARENDEL settled in midfield three deep on the outside, made a sharp move three wide splitting foes at the quarter pole, angled in from the four path in upper stretch to the rail closing the gap by the eighth pole, could not continue the stretch rally and stalled in deep stretch to settle on the fringes. SULTRY SOPHIE co-trailed on the outside five deep down the back straight, tried to circle around horses five wide through the turn but with little impact, shifted out to the six-path turning for home but could only finish up one paced down the stretch. BEDTIME broke in on the start, chased the frontrunner down the backside, was roused to go after the pacesetter at the quarter pole but to no avail, could not keep pace with outside runners while in the two path straightening out for the drive and staying on the wrong lead down the lane began to shorten stride weakening in the final furlong. SHE'S SO CROATIAN was away slowly to co-trail inside a rival in the four path down the backside, was losing position when scrubbed four wide at the midpoint around the turn, angled out five wide for the drive to the wire but had little left for the stretch running. MOMANDA stalked near the rear on the rail, advanced sharply inside foes at the half, could not continue on when unable to quicken on the fence with the outside flow of runners at the three furlong marker, regressed around the turn and emptied out in upper stretch.
