Footnotes
GATLING GUN had to alter course outside checking off a troubled rival at the chute, was allowed to gather himself trailing on the rail down the backside, began to lengthen stride smartly in the two path around the turn, shifted out three wide in upper stretch, had a quick turn of foot moving to the rail nearing the sixteenth pole taking the lead and was pulling away late for the stretch running win. JMR SPEEDY ESCAPE hounded the pace outside down the backstretch, edged away up front with five sixteenths from the line, was still in control three wide in mid-stretch but had no answer for the winner rushing up inside at the sixteenth pole taking command and finished up besting the rest in the end. MATICULANT shied inside at the gap, settled in midfield down the backside, narrowed the margin on the turn while on the fence in the third tier, shifted out five wide turning for home but was pinched between runners in upper stretch, fought determinedly with rivals on either side in the late stages and won the show photo at the wire. BUCK'S FIZZ travelled three deep in mid-pack, made little impression three wide outside foes in the third flight on the turn, commenced a rally when pushed out seven wide at the top of the stretch and finished with late energy to just miss third money outside at the finish line. ORPHAN HALLIE stalked near the rear ahead of one rival who happened to be the eventual winner down the backstretch, was going the wrong way seeing the field around the bend, offered brief turn of foot two wide at the eighth pole to be in the mix for piece of the prize but faded late to be on the losing end of the three way photo for the show award. RYE'S MY GUY had a tracking role, watching the front duo between foes, kept a close eye of the front pair alone keeping up to the lead two through the turn, drifted out five wide at the top of the stretch brushing the outside foe and finished up gradually still trying while on the wrong lead to the wire. TOWN'S WARRIOR had a slim advantage inside down the backstretch, was nudged for more relinquishing the lead midway around the bend and folded on the fence at the furlong marker.
