SEA SCOUT stalked from outside mid-division, advanced on the leading pair four wide on the turn, came into upper stretch five wide putting a head in front, drifted out a bit, was kept engaged by the former leader, was bumped lightly nearing the wire and just got the nod. STYLISH GENT was urged forward inside to take the lead soon after the start, set the pace inside with some moderate outside pressure, drifted four wide leaving the turn challenged by outside rivals, was headed in upper stretch, drifted out in late stretch bumping the eventual winner lightly while fighting back gamely but just missed in a head-bobber. U S ARMY CORPS settled between runners mid-pack early, dropped back two to three wide on the turn, angled nine wide at the top of the stretch, finished strongly but was gaining too late. SALVATOR MUNDI was reserved at the rear off the inside, came out six to eight wide in upper stretch, kept on evenly and needed more. MIDNIGHT ARKLE rated outside at the back, went four to five wide on the turn, put to strong urging midway on that bend, swung out eight wide turning for home, ran on. DESIGNATED HITTER stalked from between runners mid-pack, shifted in a bit on the turn racing two to three deep, came out a bit in upper stretch, was not a late threat. MASTER SPY tracked in behind inside, saved ground on the turn, had room up the rail turning for home and was within range in upper stretch but flattened out. HIGHLAND SOCIETY was outsprinted early but forwardly-positioned pressing the eventual runner-up, dropped back late on the turn and was asked for more by the quarter pole while in a bit tight between and then behind runners, failed to rally.
