Footnotes
FIGHTER IN THE WIN was hard held watching the lone speed in the early going, began to reel in the frontrunner with five sixteenths to go, seized control inside runners in upper stretch and fought on gamely down the lane to hold on at the finish line to share in the victory in the end. SWAGGISH settled on the inside in the third flight down the backside, had a good turn of foot moving closer in the two path by the quarter pole, posed the main threat three wide between runners straightening out for the stretch run and battled throughout the lane to get up right on the line to be a co-winner at the wire. LOBBY BAR travelled on the rail in mid-pack, waited for running room on the rail around the far turn, shifted two wide finding a seam in upper stretch, burst between horses gaining third at the furlong pole and held on for third place from an outside foe charging late. EMBRACE MY UNCLE had a stalking position ahead of a few runners in the beginning, co-trailed on the outside at the half, made no progression outside through the last turn, swung out widest nine wide having clear run turning for home and with a strong late kick in the final eighth of a mile closed in smartly late to just miss getting up for the show award. NONNO'S LITTLE BOY settled at the rear saving all the ground, started to rally shifting three wide at the top of the lane and showed good late interest trying to close in for the show money in deep stretch. C C'S KINGDOM had a stalking role near the rear on the outside, put in a mild run four wide midpoint on the far turn, shifted out to the eight path for the drive and finished up willingly passing a couple of foes in deep stretch. MT LOGAN had a good spot watching the top two runners early on, dropped back a couple of positions along the backside, came back on between horses in the two path when scrubbed on for more at the quarter pole and finished up gradually six wide driving to the wire. PRIDEOFDISTINCTION stalked close to the back of the pack on the rail, was roused three eighths out offering little response, angled six wide for the stretch run but made little presence to the finish line. BACHELOR PAD was loose on the lead setting a brisk pace into the first turn, continued to freewheel it up front stringing out the field down the backstretch, was collared outside with five sixteenths from home, offered little resistance and folded on the fence by the sixteenth pole. AVOMAN stalked close to the back, offered a brief move from the three eighths pole until the quarter marker, could not sustain the rally four wide in early stretch and tired in the final furlong. THIS DUDE A BREEZE travelled outside runners in mid-division, closed in to bid three wide on the outside two furlongs from the prize, had little left in reserve for the stretch run and stopped between foes in the last sixteenth.
