I'M A GAMBLER (IRE) had a nice set up outside watching the front pair, closed in on the turn to press the issue three wide at the quarter pole, gathered more speed six wide straightening out for home and pulled away smartly for the win in the final furlong. RAPID TEST stalked three deep on the outside ahead of a few runners down the back straight, made little headway around the bend, was asked for more at the quarter pole with little response, kept on coming gradually down the lane on the wrong lead, switched to the proper lead at the sixteenth pole finding another gear late and got up right at the wire to best the rest. TWIN CITY was tucked in on the fence watching the top two runners, had to be geared down waiting on the rail for the cue to move in midturn, rallied up the fence down the stretch to poke his head in front for the runners up share with a sixteenth left to run but could not hold for the secondary placing at the wire. IRONSTONE broke a step slow to be near the rear on the outside of rival down the backside, did not start a rally until shifting out off tiring foes seven wide in mid-stretch and when clear uncorked a sharp run late gaining on runners with every stride but ran out of ground to be on the losing end of a three way photo for the runners up share. SECRET RESERVE travelled in mid-division in the two path, kept pace with rival three wide around the bend, sat just behind the dueling leaders in the two path in upper stretch, shifted to be four wide in mid-stretch and finished mildly in the late stages of the race. HUNT MASTER assumed the lead setting a mild pace up front for these kind down the back straight, had a diminishing lead around the turn when the pace was quickening, was collared outside at the quarter pole, still desperately was holding on three wide in upper stretch but flattened out in deep stretch. MALIBU MAMBO stalked close to the back of the pack three deep outside foes, tried to circle around rivals four wide through the turn, angled out in the seven path still range entering the stretch, finished up on the wrong lead to the wire and levelled off with a sixteenth remaining. NIAGARA SKYLINE was under a snug hold sitting just off the frontrunner down the backside, moved in to bid between horses up top at the quarter pole, continued in the hunt four wide with runners on either side at the top of the stretch, could not keep up the pace late and folded in the last sixteenth of a mile. RONDURE was allowed to settle into stride at the back of the pack in the early going, saved ground narrowing the margin on the leaders through the turn, angled just off the fence in the two path for the drive but had little presence in the stretch running.
