Footnotes
NO MORE OPTIONS was away sharply up front setting the pace in the beginning, was then content to lope along giving way up top down the backside to track the new leader, started to re-engage shifting out two wide at the quarter pole, pounced three wide in early stretch and pulled away smartly for the win in the final furlong. JUNIOR HOT SHOT was nestled on the rail behind the frontrunner, had a good position all alone down the backstretch watching the front pair, started to move in three wide at the quarter pole, swung out to the five path for the drive to the wire in the mix up top and chased the winner in vain down the stretch to best the rest in the end. CORNWALL was pushed out between runners six wide in the initial turn, stalked near the back ahead of the other troubled foe down the back straight, picked up the bit starting a good rally between horses in the two path with a quarter mile left to run, shifted three wide in upper stretch and finished with good energy to get up for third money in deep stretch. JO DADDY tracked the winner outside into the first turn, moved in to take command outside into the backstretch, getting to the fence loose up top quickening the pace by the half, was collared outside turning for home, had little left for the late running and faded inside rivals for a minor role. COOLER MAN was forced out seven wide entering the first turn, trailed the field down the backside, made a brief run three wide with five sixteenths from the wire, angled to the five path in upper stretch but could one finish up one paced down the lane. GAROFOLI had trouble navigating the first turn drifting out to the five path, tracked the front wo outside a rival into the backstretch, lost ground to the top three by the half, saved ground but made little impact on the far turn and had little to give on the fence in the stretch running.
