Footnotes
MASON'S MUSIC travelled outside in mid-division, was in hand moving to the leaders down the backside, had to rally three wide between horses with five sixteenths to go with another rival trying to circle outside, seized command in upper stretch and pulled away late for the win. DREAMS AND SCHEMES had a tracking role on the outside down the backstretch, moved in to poke his head in front for a moment at the three eighths marker, quickly had company outside by the quarter pole, fought the good fight inside rivals down the stretch, was no match for the winner late but stayed on stubbornly to be second best. SARAH'S DANCER stalked close to the back of the pack three wide outside foes, closed the gap along the backside, made a bold move four wide at the quarter pole around horses to bid up front at the top of the lane, could not continue on and evened out in mid-stretch to capture the show money. THAT GIRL ARTEMUS tracked on the rail in midfield, was shuffled back a touch at the three furlong marker, swung out to the three path straightening for home and finished mildly to settle on the fringes. OUR FLAG FLYING had a tracking role inside in the early parts of the race, had to wait stuck behind the stopping early leader midway through the turn, shifted out when scrubbed on three wide at the quarter pole but failed to fire in the drive to the wire. FOXY DIVA stalked near the rear in the two path, made no movement along the backside, offered a brief rally three wide midway around the last bend, angled to the six path for the drive but lacked a bid down the lane. MORAL TURPITUDE hopped on the break, then had to checked coming up to runners on the fence entering the first turn, trailed the field down the backside and passed a tiring early in upper stretch. ROOKIE COURT assumed the lead on the rail setting a tepid pack in the early stages, was collared outside at the three furlong marker, offered no resistance, backed away through the field on the final turn and was eased when crossing the finish line.
