Footnotes
J P HELLISH got away well, was forwardly-positioned pressing the leader, took over three furlongs out, moved clear past the quarter pole, drifted out a bit turning for home, drew off under steady handling. ONE MORE BREW shifted in through the first turn, tracked inside on or just off the rail in the second group, angled out a path or so at the top of the stretch before diving back in for room, ran on inside to get the place while lugging out late and no real threat to the winner. TIZ ROMANTIC shifted in from four to three wide on the first turn, stalked from between foes in the second flight, dropped back on the far turn, angled out seven wide leaving that bend, kept on well to come again for show honors outside. SILENT SUNDAY veered out and into the outside rival just after the start, settled mid-pack three to four wide, made a steady prolonged advance four to five wide into and on the far turn, evened out in the stretch. EXUDE settled at the rear, was between runners into the far turn, went two to five wide throughout, rallied between foes in the stretch to improve. PHILIP MY DEAR settled mid-pack two to three wide early then three to four wide on the far turn fanning out eight deep for the drive, ran on but needed more. ALLEGORICAL was off the rail early, raced mid-pack nearer the fence on the far turn, ran on evenly in the stretch. GRANDSON bumped with the outside rival soon after the start, raced toward the back outside four to five wide, dropped back, far back turning for home shifting out then and again later to improve position nine wide. IRONSIDES was bumped into a rival after the start, was unhurried at the rear, moved out on the far turn coming to the quarter pole five wide and top of the stretch eight wide, failed to menace. HEMLO GOLD bumped the outer rival at the start, set a pressured pace inside, chased late on the far turn angling out a few paths leaving that bend, weakened thereafter. JIM'S HOPE bumped the inside rival after the start, was in tight heading past the wire the first time altering to the rail then back out to the two to three path, raced in the back half of the field and failed to rally. GREYSTONE was bumped just after the start, raced three to five wide throughout, was not a factor. DAY TRIPPER exchanged a bump after the start, moved forward chasing outside four to five wide early, was within range three to four deep under urging by the three-eighths, in a bit tight at the top of the stretch while weakening as a rival came out, tired. PALIO was bumped at the start then soon after, checked heading past the seven-and-one-half and again a furlong later racing inside and in behind a rival, was never near enough to threaten racing inside and well back.
