Footnotes
GOOD KING SAM was forwardly-placed stalking the pacesetter from outside kept wide, edged closer to press the issue into the far turn, took the lead in upper stretch, kicked clear then held well under steady handling. SUGAR BUZZ tracked the leaders from inside and in behind, angled out when put to urging leaving the far turn coming five wide into upper stretch with aim on the leader, could make no headway and lugged out late just narrowly preserving the place. LONNY'S GAMBLE settled at the back, was far back heading into the far turn still racing near the rail, made a long steady gain but just missed second. LASTING SILENCE soon led, set the pace inside, was pressed by the winner into the far turn, weakened in the stretch. ITS IN THE CARDS was in just a hair tight after the break then angled in, saved ground inside on the first turn, continued near but just off the fence and failed to rally. BAYTOWN SHINJUKU was brushed just lightly after the start, pursued the pace from outside three to four wide, was under urging by the three-eighths, weakened in the stretch. REGGIE BOY was brushed very lightly just after the start, chased from outside runners but was never near enough to threaten. I'MANISLANDBOY was well back and had no response.
