CRIMSON NIGHTS broke sharp, was patiently reined in sitting behind the contesting duo down the backstretch, waited to pounce moving smoothly outside a runner three wide around the turn, loomed a menacing presence five wide at the top of the lane, battled neck and neck outside with a furlong from the line and had a little more left late, outkicking the inside rival to inch away for the win in deep stretch. THIRSTY ACCOUNTANT dueled outside at the start, sat outside just off the pacesetter by the half, inched up in the turn to take command outside at the quarter pole, fought on stubbornly between horses clinging onto the lead with a furlong left to run but could not find another gear late to repel the relentless winner in final seventy yards. SHAMELESS AFFAIR was away alertly on the break, then took back to sit in mid-pack all alone in the three path along the backside, edged up behind the front trio at the quarter pole, angled out six wide for the drive to the wire and closed in well down the stretch not switching leads to be a clear third at the finish line. ONDINE LADY travelled on the rail in mid-division, advanced on the turn sitting behind the leaders at the quarter pole, darted from the three path to the rail in mid-stretch and got the nod for the minors winning that duel in the final seventy yards. SECRET BUTTERFLY was hustled after the start to get a clear lead on the rail by the half, had company outside by the quarter pole, fought on in the two path until the furlong marker and faded in the final sixteenth. MOET MONET broke out and had to be checked soon after the start, stalked near the rear on the fence, saved ground through the turn keeping pace but lacked a rally inside horses down the stretch. TALKING WONDERS was well back in the last flight midway along the backstretch three deep, moved up three wide making a brief run at the three furlong pole to be in range if good enough widest in the seven path for a share straightening for the drive, could not sustain the rally though and flattened out in the final furlong. BEAUMONT DRIVE was unhurried trailing down the backside, made no impact going three wide around the bend and could not factor while six wide in the stretch running.
