Footnotes
TWENTYTWO SOLES was off a step slow on the start, recovered smartly to sit outside of the leaders flank going well in hand down the backside, moved in, cruising outside taking control at the five sixteenths pole, shot away on the rail from his closest pursuers in upper stretch, proved much the best down the lane and coasted home for the win. SANHEDRIN had a stalking trip ahead of only one runner along the backside, started to uncork a run on the turn narrowing the margin by the quarter pole, shifted to the two path at the top of the lane, burst between foes taking the runners up share leaving the furlong marker and finished up a clear second best behind the dominant winner. CLEAR POSITION leapt up and outwards on the break, improved on the rail down the backstretch keeping a close eye of the front twosome with a half mile remaining, was roused on the rail at the three eighths marker having a brief turn of foot shifting out three wide at the quarter pole, was no match for the overpowering winner who had plenty left for the drive and finished up mildly to be a distant third at the wire. FULL STAR travelled outside horses in midfield, had a brief spurt three wide closing in at the seven sixteenths pole, dropped back slightly by midturn, swung out widest in the five path taking the corner and ran on evenly to be a fringe player in the end. TURBO CHARGED was bumped by the inside rival on the break, tracked the engaged duo with runners on either side at the half, chased the top pair while in the second flight outside another through the turn, shifted to the four path in upper stretch, lacked a finish inside runners in the final furlong and faded late losing the duel for the minor award. BAYTOWN GLINDA broke slowly then was nudged for more leaving the chute getting the lead inside another going down the back straight, had no answer when the winner cruised on by on the outside taking command at the five sixteenths pole and emptied out hugging the rail in upper stretch. SOCIALLYANNALYZED was allowed to settle into stride at the rear down the backstretch, lagged well behind the pack unable to make any headway around the oval, lost touch with the group turning for home and cantered home across the finish line.
