SPRUNG LOOSE was in just a bit tight at the start, settled into stride off the leading trio heading into the first turn, was forced outside a rival into that bend then shifted in, tracked up close in behind inside, came out in upper stretch, kept on in the lane to get up late. JOE WEST was coaxed forward outside and caught three wide entering the first turn, took the lead and moved clear shifting in to dictate terms inside, shook free into upper stretch, just failed to last. DARK DANGER was strongly urged from between foes at the start, was overtaken for the lead by the outside foe while moving in entering the first turn, switched out soon after, stalked two to three wide, was urged three furlongs out, failed to threaten the top pair late. POLITICAL WARFARE was coaxed forward inside, checked sharply entering the first turn as the outside foe came over, switched out, moved up outside three to four wide on the far turn, failed to rally in the lane. CUBAN THUNDER (IRE) was urged from the gate, lost the rider not long after, was transported off the track via equine ambulance. FOLLOWING A STEWARDS' INQUIRY DARK DANGER WAS DISQUALIFIED FROM THIRD AND PLACED FOURTH BEHIND POLITICAL WARFARE FOR INTERFERENCE.
