HOLIDAY COST was allowed to gather herself finding stride at the back of the pack with five eighths to go, started to figure things out on the rail reaching for more ground midway on the turn, had a sharp turn of foot skimming the fence passing a couple of outside foes straightening out for home, burst between runners shifting to the two path coming to the sixteenth pole and with aim on the leader late, rushed on by on the outside in the final seventy yards for the eye catching, late finishing last to first victory. MIDNITE SADIE emerged from the pack going into the backstretch being the clear leader while loose on the rail, rolled along well ahead of her closest pursuer setting an even but lively tempo around the bend, had a commanding advantage on the fence at the top of the stretch on the fence, began to shorten stride getting weary slowing down at the furlong marker and had very little left offering no resistance when the winner powered past outside easily in the final seventy yards for the win. LOVE PUDDLES had the rail position in the middle of the pack early on, edged up mildly on the fence in midturn, shifted out three wide in the mix for a small share at the top of the lane and ran on willingly outside of horses in the final furlong getting up for the show money in deep stretch. BETTERMUSTCOME was content sitting all alone watching the lone speed along the back straightaway, chased the frontrunner but to no avail through the turn, looked for a moment to be the only threat to the leader in mid-stretch, had little left late and flattened out inside of rivals in the final sixteenth of a mile to settle on the fringes in the end. FIRSTGENERAL NIKAO stalked near the rear with runners on either side, was urged on by the rider for more between foes at the five sixteenths pole, offered little response around the turn and in the two path for the stretch running could not find more to be involved in the later stages. STELLA POINT veered outwards sharply on the break trailing the field leaving the chute, improved outside of runners down the backstretch to sit in midfield three deep by the half, travelled outside a couple of rivals making little headway wide wide around the oval, angled out to the four path turning for home and came up empty in the stretch drive.
