TrackMaster® has developed TrackMaster® Power Ratings ["TPRs"]. A TPR is a single number assigned to each horse running in a race. It reflects the horse's strength in three measurable areas: speed, class and pace. Furthermore, the relative weighting of these three factors is different for each track, and is determined by what has been winning in the recent past at each track (the track profile).

  • The Equibase® Speed Figure tells you how fast a horse has been running in its past races with a single number. Its sophisticated algorithms are based on the horse's actual time in combination with other factors, such as the condition of the track. A horse running in stakes company might earn a 110 , while a horse running in a claiming race might earn an 80. The Equibase® Speed Figure has been equalized for different tracks, distances and conditions, therefore a 100 at Laurel Race Course is the same as a 100 at Philadelphia Park.

Full points of call as well as additional fractional time data is available for every race.

Races denoted with the video camera include available Video Race Replays which are available to view if you have a Video Race Replays Subscription. Click here for information on available subscriptions. The date link in each past performance provides free access to ChartPlus™ Results.

The TrackMaster® Class Ratings are based on projected finishing time based on the speed ratings of the individual horses coming into each race. The algorithms that generate the Class Ratings use the last six months of speed ratings from all of the entrants in a race, and make the best possible predication as to the winning time, and can best be described as a relative rating for a GIVEN FIELD OF HORSES in a given race at a given track.

The TrackMaster® Class Ratings are the same as avove, but adjusted post-race to reflect that race's performance.

The TrackMaster® Pace Ratings are basically the horse's "Speed Figure" various points in the race and are available for all Thoroughbred and Arabian races. Based on the horse's actual time and other conditions, such as track condition, these figures allow you to compare a horse's general performance at the early, middle and final stages of the race.
